In the heart of Lorton, VA, the River View at Occoquan set the stage for an unforgettable union between the sweetest couple, Gabrielle and Chris. From the early moments of the day, as the ladies prepared at a local hotel and the gentlemen readied themselves onsite, the air was filled with excitement and anticipation.
The couple opted for an indoor ceremony due to unpredictable weather, and the team, including Rita's Roses for floral design, created a breathtaking setting. Wine barrels adorned with compote arrangements, wooden crates, and gold lanterns welcomed guests, seamlessly merging rustic charm with the venue's modern aesthetics.
Amir Smith of Smith Vision Photography brilliantly captured every emotion and detail, from the couple's tearful vows framed by stunning floral columns to the joyous petal toss that celebrated their newly pronounced status. The indoor ceremony not only protected against the weather but added an intimate and cozy ambiance to the proceedings.
Guests transitioned smoothly to cocktail hour in the venue lobby, where a custom bar menu, bud vases, lanterns, and exquisite hors d'oeuvres from Great Blue Heron Catering awaited. A thoughtfully designed lounge set and wooden backdrop provided delightful photo opportunities for the guests.
As the festivities continued, the reception hall underwent a swift transformation. The entrance featured a boxwood wall with champagne for guests, and a mirror seating chart guided them to their tables. The reception decor, a mix of round tables with white linens and farm tables adorned with white chiffon runners, created an elegant and inviting atmosphere. Gold votive candles, pillar candles, greenery, and planter box arrangements adorned each table, adding a touch of romance to the celebration.
The night unfolded with laughter, joy, and dancing, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Gabrielle and Chris' wedding was a testament to trust, collaboration, and the artistry of their all-star vendors team.
